Advanced Placement Test (AP)
AP is designed to prepare students for college-level work by offering a more accelerated and challenging course of study.
The main reason to take an AP exam is to demonstrate mastery of rigorous college-level material. And, by scoring a passing grade on an AP exam (3 or above), you can earn college credit at the majority of colleges and universities in the US and Canada.
There are 38 AP subject exams.
AP courses take about eight months to complete and can be done in the final year or penultimate year of the Diploma – or even earlier if a student desires and is able.
